NOAC Pre-approval Conditions Met

By the grace of Allah (s.w.t.), on November 5^th 2019, we received acceptance of the new Al Mahdi Islamic Community Center’s Site Plan drawings from the City of Toronto. This was the most difficult hurdle to overcome and it is the first of the two-stage Site Plan approval process required for our new buildingconstruction project.

In December 2019, we received the next key document, the Notice of Approval Conditions (NOAC) from the City’s Senior Planner. The NOAC outlines the pre-approval conditions to be met in order to begin construction. Alhamdulillah, we are pleased to share that we have met all pre-approval conditions and we have submitted the required documents to the City on January 22^nd 2020.  We have also submitted the Building Permit Application and are expecting to receive its approval in the next four to six weeks, Inshallah.

During the coming weeks, we will be releasing tender documents to contractors, and plan on having a contractor signed during March 2020.

Inshallah our target is to break ground and begin construction on April 10^th 2020 / Shaban 15^th.
